1. Product-specific safety information
Safety information must identify the exact product, not generic stationery or an invented supplier. The active Shopify catalog is currently empty. No product safety certification, manufacturer, responsible person or safety verification is claimed.
2. Online offers and the GPSR
For products within scope, Article 19 of Regulation (EU) 2023/988 requires distance-sale offers to clearly and visibly show the manufacturer's name or registered trade name/trademark and postal and electronic address; the EU responsible person's name and postal and electronic address where the manufacturer is not established in the EU; product identification including a picture, type and other identifier; and applicable warnings and safety information.
3. Warnings and languages
Warnings must be supplied in a language easily understood by consumers, as determined by the Member State in which the product is made available. English alone must not be assumed sufficient for every EU country. Age suitability, material hazards and use restrictions must be verified for the exact product; no universal child-safe claim is made.
4. Manufacturer and responsible person
A Shopify brand/vendor field is not proof of the legal manufacturer or EU responsible person. Verified postal and electronic contacts, product identifiers and source references must be recorded per product before a sale offer is activated. A general safety page cannot replace product-specific listing information.
5. Specific rules and safety concerns
Sector-specific rules can supplement or modify GPSR obligations, including those for toys or chemical products. CE marking is not a universal requirement for stationery and must never be fabricated. Stop using an item where a safety concern arises, preserve its identification and contact the verified seller/manufacturer. In an emergency, seek appropriate local assistance.
